Hi friends! I can’t believe we are finishing up the month of January. I always feel like this is the longest month of the year and this year it’s just flying by! Don’t get me wrong I’m definitely excited for all the things to come by man time is just going. Anyways today I’m going to be sharing my Fitness Goals for 2020. I’ve gotten plenty of questions on it so I figured I would be answering questions and explaining what I’m doing.

FITNESS GOALS

  • LOSE 5 POUNDS EVERY MONTH
  • WORK ON MY ARMS
  • ATTEND AT LEAST 2 GROUP CLASSES A MONTH
  • WORK OUT AT LEAST 5 TIMES A WEEK

WELLNESS GOALS

  • COOK AT HOME MONDAY-FRIDAY
  • DRINK LESS ALCOHOL
  • START TAKING DAILY VITAMINS
  • FIND 30 MINUTES A DAY TO REFLECT, READ, RELAX

I’ve laid out my goals above and so far so good! I definitely let my fitness and wellness go over the last few years so this year I want to get back to focusing on myself. I’ll be answering some of the questions I’ve received below!

WHAT DO YOU DO AT THE GYM?

Every day consists of almost the same thing. I do cardio everyday for about 30 minutes and then do some sort of weights. This month I’m working on arms and booty! I get a ton of ideas for workouts on Instagram & Pinterest.

HOW MANY DAYS A WEEK DO YOU WORK OUT?

Currently I’m working on working out 5 times a week. Eventually I will probably be doing 6 times a week. I am working out to get fit and feel my best for my wedding day so that’s my main focus.

ARE YOU GOING TO SHARE RECIPES?

Is this something you guys want? I can definitely share some of the goodies I make!

ARE YOU DOING A DIET?

I’m not doing any sort of diet just watching what I eat more often. I’m focusing on eating minimal carbs and focusing on meats and veggies. If I want a burger or fries though I will definitely be getting some!

HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED TO KEEP GOING TO THE GYM?

Honestly this is hard! Especially when you are starting. Currently my motivation is my wedding and feeling my best! You definitely get a high after going a few times and it feels amazing! My recommendation is to pick something that you want to strive for and go for it.

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR EATING BETTER?

I’m not a dietician but I can tell you what’s worked for me is just focusing on eating as clean as possible. I don’t always eat grass fed beef or free range chicken but I focus on what I’m putting on my plate. Like I said I eat mainly meats and veggies. There are so many substitutes for some of our favorite grains like cauliflower rice, cauliflower mashed potatoes, zoodles (zucchini noodles), that I don’t miss grains to often. That’s not to say though that I don’t make my favorite avocado toast on whole wheat bread! Just focus on foods that make you feel good and cut out whatever is to much (sugars, sodas & juices, etc).

I hope this post helped you guys and hopefully we can share some of these goals together! I can’t wait to see how I feel after March and to see what fits better. What are some of your fitness/wellness goals this year?
