Another wedding Wednesday post! Today’s post is all about my wedding hair & makeup. Not to make it all about me but honestly the best parts of the wedding were the wedding dress, accessories, & deciding on hair & makeup! I was super in love with the way my hair & makeup came out and I felt absolutely beautiful. If you are needing some inspo for your big day or if you are a Austin bride then this one is for you!

WEDDING HAIR

Deciding on hair was a hard one for me. I was in between doing all down, all up, and half up half down. Finally I decided on a braid that went across the back with my hair down. I always feel my personal best when my hair is down so that narrowed it down and I wanted something fun in my hair so I decided on a braid. I wore my moms veil for my wedding and I absolutely felt so beautiful and amazing wearing it. It was truly special and I feel like it completed my wedding hairdo.

WEDDING MAKEUP

So I found my wedding makeup artist on Instagram of course and honestly she is the sweetest and the best! I’ve mentioned her before but in case you missed it her name is Mandie and she is the owner of Mandalin Collective. She is great and has a lot of great experience in the wedding industry. She helped me prep my skin prior to the big day and even gave recommendations on things I should do. Not only did she do my makeup, she did my bridesmaids & my mom. I highly recommend her! You can send her a DM on Instagram or Facebook.

So I highly recommend getting a makeup trial that way you can see what it is that you envisioned for yourself. I thought I wanted a romantic look with pinks & blushes and you guys it was beautiful but I couldn’t see myself as a bride. Here is a link to my makeup trial that I posted on Instagram. Again it was so pretty but I wanted to look in the mirror and see myself as a bride. I decided to change it on the day of my wedding and honestly it was the best choice.

I did a bit of a neutral smokey eye and it was so beautiful and I absolutely felt like a bride. For makeup, we did airbrush makeup and it sat so well on my skin. Again I absolutely loved it and I’m so happy that I did the trial that way they day of I knew exactly what I wanted. Another thing I recommend is bringing your favorite lipstick! I of course forgot mine but Mandie really did an amazing job mixing colors to get the perfect shade for me. If you are still looking for your wedding makeup artist make sure you check on Mandie and Mandalin Collective.
