Thank the moons it is Friday! This is the first weekend where I actually don’t have anything on the agenda and I’m not gonna lie I’m not mad about it. I’m so ready for a relaxing weekend with my fiancé and of course my cute Bubbles. Today on the blog I’m going to be sharing another hotel review but, this time it’s one in my hometown of Houston! I had a staycation last weekend at the beautiful Hotel Alessandra. As I always do, I’m going to be breaking it down into categories: room, service, and entertainment. Let’s jump right in!
ROOM
Let’s start with room. So the hotel room I stayed in was the king bed suite. Everything about the room felt luxurious. The room’s minibar came with a great amount of options like liquor, wine, and even champagne. They also had a Nespresso with pods in the room to make your morning feel like home. Obviously the bed was amazing and there were more than enough pillows to go around. There were two things that this room had that were my favorite. One was the bathroom and one was the tablet on the side table.
Every room comes with a tablet where you can order room service or any extra’s you might need for your stay. It’s extremely easy to use and if you want everything classic then they have a phone in the room for your convenience. The bathroom is the most magical part of the room because of the soaking tub. It’s seriously so perfect and perfect for a staycation. So much detail went into making the bathroom perfect and you can tell by the marble, the swinging mirror doors closing the bathroom area, and the glass doors that separate the shower and the toilet. I’d definitely rate the room a 5 out of 5.
SERVICE
Since this hotel is in downtown Houston you will quickly see that they have valet service right at the front. As soon as pull up, the valet service opens the door for you and checks you in. The doorman as ready to open the doors for you and you will immediately see and feel the luxury of this hotel. At check in, we were asked how was our trip in and if we wanted any recommendations which is a great plus especially if you aren’t familiar with the downtown Houston area. They also offer a Maserati car to pick you up and take you anywhere you would like to go in the downtown vicinity.
Upstairs in the room we were immediately asked if we needed any extra towels or soap by the maid service. It’s nice that they know when you’re coming and check in on you. We were able to check out the pool which is amazing! We ordered drinks and fries at the pool and attendant made sure we had everything to our pleasing. Everyone is extremely friendly and ready for you from the moment you drive up to every single part of your stay. There’s no contest here their service gets a well-earned 5 out of 5.
ENTERTAINMENT
There is a plethora of entertainment in the downtown Houston area but if you aren’t familiar with the area and don’t really want to leave the hotel, then Hotel Alessandra is the place for you. As I mentioned before, the pool is beyond perfect and it overlooks the city. They do have an attendant to take any orders from you for drinks or lite bits. I’d HIGHLY recommend the truffle fries! They were so good!
They also have a lounge on their main floor as well as a restaurant. I wasn’t able to visit either of these but when I was coming in late at night I heard a great amount of people at the lounge. The décor goes perfectly for the lounge and the restaurant is a beautiful hue of Tiffany blue. You can look at the menus online before your visit or on their website once you have arrived. If you do want to venture out into downtown Houston then you can ask the front desk and they have a great amount of knowledge and give amazing recommendations. As a Houstonian, I would know because I visited many of the locations recommended!
Overall I would definitely rate this hotel a 4 out of 5! The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is partly because of me. I wasn’t able to try out the restaurant or lounge area so once I do it will complete my score!
