Happy Friday! It’s officially May 1st and you guys I can’t believe it. April was definitely the weirdest month but you know I don’t think I would change it. Well now that it’s officially May I’m super excited because next Tuesday is Cinco De Mayo! You know I’ll be celebrating and today I’m going to be sharing this easy and delicious Frozen Mango Margarita with Chamoy.

Margarita’s are the best and my favorites are a good classic lime, strawberry, and of course mango. If you’ve ever had a mangonada then you know they are delicious and if you haven’t try one as soon as you can! This margarita was inspired by the mangonada and it’s definitely yummy. So let’s get into the recipe for this mango margarita!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED

  • Blender
  • Pitcher and glasses
  • Frozen Mango Chunks
  • Lime juice or fresh lime
  • Trader Joe’s Chile Lime Seasoning or Tajin
  • Chamoy
  • Tequila
  • Optional: Sugar

STEP 1: DRESS THE GLASSES

First thing’s first you want to dress your margarita glasses. You can use either the lime juice or chamoy to rim the glass. I went with chamoy and then topped it off with Chile Lime Seasoning.

STEP 2: MAKE THE MARGARITA

Pour the mango chunks into the blender along with the lime juice and tequila. I used a full bag of mango chunks (10 oz), 2 ozs of tequila, and 1 oz of lime juice. This part is optional if you would like it sweeter; add in about 1/4 cup of sugar. I left it as is and the mango gave it natural sweetener but if you want more of a restaurant style margarita add in the sugar. Blend it all together for 45 seconds.

STEP 3: POUR INTO PITCHER/GLASSES

Put Chamoy into each of your glasses or pitcher and then add in the blended margarita. Taking a spoon you can swirl the chamoy to give the margarita it’s design. Add in as much or little chamoy as you would like! NOTE: If you don’t like chamoy you can definitely just pour the mango margarita blend into your glass. It’s just as delicious!

STEP 4: ENJOY!

Easy Frozen Mango Margarita with Chamoy

Ingredients

  • 2 Bag of Frozen Mango Chunks (10 oz bag)
  • 4 oz Tequila
  • 2 oz Lime Juice (can be fresh limes as well)
  • 1/2 cup Chamoy (use more if you use it to dress the glasses)
  • Trader Joe's Chili Lime Seasoning (can also use Tajin)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (OPTIONAL)

Instructions

  • Dress your glasses by wetting the rim with chamoy. Then sprinkle on the chili lime seasoning.
  • In your blender, add two 10 oz bag of mango chunks, 4 oz of tequila, and 2 oz of lime juice. Blend together. OPTIONAL: if you want a sweeter margarita add in 1/4 cup of sugar and blend.
  • Grab the chamoy and add some into each glass. With a spoon, mix it around the glass to give them the swirl effect. Then grab your mango margarita blend and pour it on top of the chamoy.
  • Serve and enjoy!
