Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day! I’m so ready for some after work drinks and I’m hoping times speeds ahead. Today I’m going to be sharing my review on the COVERGIRL Full Spectrum Collection.

A few weeks back COVERGIRL sent me the Full Spectrum Collection and I immediately wanted to try it and share it with you guys! I’ve been wearing this collection for about three weeks and have definitely formed some thoughts. I’ve broken it down into each category.

A little bit of a background on the collection. It was inspired by women of color so a lot of the collection has great range. It is a matte collection so if you love matte looks then you will like this one! Let’s jump into it!

PRIMER

Always start the face with a primer. The primer does have SPF 30 in it and it has a slight scent. It does have a great feel to it and definitely helps last the makeup longer. If you are truly oily you will love this primer. It’s affordable and will keep you from looking shiny.

FOUNDATION

I’m a foundation junky so this was the most exciting thing for me to try. There are over 20 shades and I was able to find one that fit exactly. I’m in the shade FS110 Light Golden. I was a bit intimidate that it was claiming to be matte because I love a dewy look and stray from matte but I love this foundation!

It definitely is matte but I have added in skin finishers to make it dewy for my taste. I apply this foundation with my SIGMA F80 brush and it goes on so smoothly and blends perfectly!

CONCEALER

I love finding a good drugstore concealer because let’s face it, it helps brighten the face so much! Plus hide those ugly bags that I tend to get. The collection has 6 different shades. This was the one part of the collection that I was a bit disappointed in.

None of the shades were for me because I’m a bit lighter. I used the color FS165 Light Medium Neutral. It didn’t really brighten as I hoped it would but if you have darker skin then this would be great! It does have a creamy consistency and blends it pretty easily. I use a wet beauty blender to apply this.

CONTOUR CREAM PALETTE

Another one I was extremely excited to try was this contour cream palette. There are 8 shades to contour and highlight. I was actually surprisingly shocked with how well this blends! I use a flat brush to pick up product and blend out with my beauty blender.

CHEEK PALETTE

I received all three from the collection but my go to has been the FS100 Blush Touch palette. The highlight in the palette is BOMB! Seriously you will shine all the way from outer space with this one. They do have a more blush shade but this palette in particular has to much shimmer in it for my personal taste.

EYE PALETTE

Not going to lie I was pleasantly surprised with these eye palettes. The shades pick up pretty well and blend out easily. I’ve been using the palette FS105 Posh and really have been loving it! I can’t wait to try out all the others!

EYELINER

I love how many great shades come in this collection but I’ve only used the color FS100 Blackest Black and it goes on so smoothly and is really dark! It is a retractable eyeliner so no sharpening required!

LIPGLOSS

Lip products are my favorite to try and some of my favorite to share! There are 14 lipgloss shades and I received 4 to try. I’ve tested out two and they are beautiful! They go on seamlessly and will last throughout the day! My favorite color is FS187 Believe Me!

WHAT I WOULD PURCHASE

The things that are definite must to me are the foundation, the cheek palette, the eyeliner and the lipglosses! There is a great shade range of foundations for women of color and the cheek palettes have some GOOD highlighters.

I haven’t tried the colored eyeliners but I haven’t been able to stop grabbing the black since I’ve received it and the lipglosses colors are so pretty and so fun for the upcoming seasons.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and if you have any questions about anything let me know!
