Hi hi! We are officially in a new month and it’s been a month since my Caribbean cruise with Princess cruise. I have been recapping the cruise all month long on my Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, and blog. Today is my last post on Princess Cruise and I’m going to be sharing my experience on a Caribbean Cruise with Princess. I’ll break down food, activities, and ports visited. If you are interested in seeing what I packed and wore while on Princess you can see that here.

FOOD

The best thing about cruising is the food! Even if you are a picky eater they will literally have something for everybody. If you watch my YouTube vlogs you will see a lot of the nightly menus for dinner in the main dining room. I had some of the best food on Princess but some of the things that really stuck out to me are the desserts, the room service, Crown Grill, & Caribbean dinner night. I’ve shared my rankings down below.

BUFFET 6.5/10

This is my 3rd overall cruise and my 1st Princess cruise and the buffet wasn’t the best. The buffet was HUGE but the only opened one small section of it for breakfast, lunch & dinner. There was an outbreak before our cruise so they could have been taking higher precautions and limiting service because of this. It just wasn’t conducive and kind of annoying to eat at the buffet.

Also the food wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t my favorite. There were two days that really stuck out to me, which were Indian dinner night & seafood day during lunch. The breakfast was honestly probably my favorite especially the mango coconut tapioca pudding.

DAVINCI DINING ROOM 8.5/10

The Davinci Dining Room is essentially the main dining room. They have three separate ones on Princess and this was the one we had our reservations at majority of the cruise. I loved the food in the Davinci dining room they had so many great things to eat! My advice is to try ALL the desserts because they are so good! My favorite night as mentioned was the Caribbean food night because the jerk chicken was so delicious but I also enjoyed the 2nd formal night because you have the option of surf & turf.

CROWN GRILL 10/10

If you are wanting to try one of the speciality dining options I highly recommend Crown Grill. This had to have been my overall favorite dinner of the cruise. The sides are delicious and there are so many great main options. I did the surf & turf this night as well except I got the filet mignon here. The desserts still amazing & we did a bottle of wine which was the best way to start the cruise.

ROOM SERVICE 5/10

The room service is great!… when it worked. We did have a few hiccups with room service being delivered so that’s why the rating is so low but the food & drinks and service were great. The best part about Princess Cruise is the medallion experience and being able to order food & drinks from anywhere with the medallion. It just wasn’t always reliable and the food was delivered sometimes 1 1/2-2 hours later instead of within that 30 minute timeframe. Again the food available was great! You could get pizza, chicken tenders (my favorite), a ton of appetizers like chips & guacamole so I did enjoy it. I just wished it was consistent.

ENTERTAINMENT

Just like any cruise ship, Princess has tons of entertainment. From shows to trivia and so much more. I did visit almost every nightly show except the first night because we had a late dinner. If I’m rating just the productions out of 10 I would give it a 7/10. There were two plays, a comedian, a singer, & the Voice of the Ocean. I enjoyed one of the plays, the singer, & the Voice of the Ocean.

I sadly only went to one trivia because it was the only one that had a subject. The others seemed like general trivia which isn’t my cup of tea. Also the karaoke looked super fun! I didn’t get up to sing but you of course can. We did go to the nightclub on ship pretty much every night and always had the best time! They also show movies on the screen at night and guys the live music is always so good. I did have a favorite group and I legit followed them every night so that I could dance & sing along.

PORTS

Directions to get on and off the ship were very clear and I can honestly say I enjoyed every port! We didn’t do any excursions except in Cozumel and still had a blast. If you get the chance to visit Roatan on a Princess Cruise then please visit the beach that’s literally right outside the port. It’s beautiful, there is tons of space, and tons of restaurants around.

In Belize City, we just got off the ship and checked out the port area. I will say things are definitely cheaper here so if you are wanting to pick up some souvenirs or just shop then this is the place to do it. There were a ton of super cute shops but I wasn’t able to haggle at a lot of these shops.

Our last cruise stop was Cozumel and Cozumel is always a good time! We visited our favorite all inclusive beach club, Del Mar Latino Beach Club. We love this beach club because you can literally just walk to it right off the ships. We have done it from the Royal Caribbean cruise port & now the Carnival/Princess Cruise port. It is a bit of a further walk from the Princess cruise port but it’s truly not that bad.

The rating for overall cruise stops is 10/10.

OVERALL RATING ON CARIBBEAN CRUISE WITH PRINCESS

Again this was my first time cruising on Princess and my 3rd cruise overall and I would give this cruise a 8.5/10. It has so many great things like the Medallion service, the amount of swimming pools, and if you are trying to save some $$ I do feel like the Princess Plus is worth it. I would definitely cruise with Princess Cruise again and highly recommend you try it if you never have gone on Princess!

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you are going on Princess Cruise or if you have any questions let me know in the comments below.
