The last of my Disney trip is going up today and let’s just say I’m already planning another one.  I can’t help it guys I’m obsessed with Disney!  It’s great to act like a kid again & just have the magical feeling of being around childhood characters.  Okay so maybe I also wanted to be around Elsa & Anna but I’m still a kid at heart. 🙂 Today is all about my trip to Epcot and some tips for tackling the big park! Epcot is huge so be ready!!

RECAP

This was also my first-time visiting Epcot so I didn’t really know what to expect.  I had heard this park is big so I got here early.  I’m talking before the park even opened.  Take advantage of taking pictures in the front with all the pretty floral displays! Since everyone ran to different locations when we first went in we decided to stop at the very first ride at the front of the park, Spaceship Earth.  It was a slow ride and it was neat! Side note: we were actually able to ride every ride in this park!

After the first ride we were headed towards our Fastpass for Soarin but decided to stop by and meet Baymax from Big Hero 6 & Joy and Sadness from Inside Out.  Btw if you get to the parks early and have babies or young kids with you and want to meet the characters run to that first! Most of the rides in Epcot are for kids 6 or 7 and up and most people run to those so meeting the characters in the morning is best because you don’t’ get a long wait time!

The wait time total for meeting these three characters was 20 minutes! Yes, I said 20 minutes! Totally worth it.  After meeting them we went on Soarin and decided it was time for breakfast.  After breakfast we got on the Living with the Land.  Since we ate breakfast in Future World and the ride was right next to it, it just made sense.

Our next FastPass was to meet Mickey & friends! Meeting the characters is one of my favorite parts of the going to Disney so I try to do this as much as I can.  We met Mickey, Minnie, & Goofy.  We kept riding rides until about noon and then decided to start exploring the rest of Epcot.

After all the rides, we started our tour in Canada.   When we got to United Kingdom, we stopped by a fun pub and got some drinks because it was my birthday! 🙂 We continued our journey through all parts of the world and took pictures with almost every princess (Missing Mulan).  Right before the park closed we made a dash for Frozen Ever After which is a definite must! I loved it! We finished off Epcot with the fireworks show.

FAST PASS/RIDES & SHOWS

As I mentioned we were able to ride all of the rides at Epcot.  It wasn’t easy but it was so worth it! The rides I would highly recommend to ride are Soarin, Test Track, and Frozen Ever After.  That being said if you can get a fast pass for Frozen Ever After DO! The wait time is ridiculous throughout the day which is why we rode it right before the park closed.

We planned our Fast passes from beginning of day to end, which is why we were able to ride all the rides.  The three rides that I mentioned as must are also the rides that have the longest wait times.  As soon as you use your first three, start to plan the next one and try to get one ASAP.  I’m not sure if there are shows here besides the fireworks show.  If there is we didn’t’ see any.

FOOD & DRINKS

We had breakfast in Future World and ate at Sunshine Seasons.  It’s cafeteria style restaurant and the breakfast was SO good! I got the kids breakfast platter and it came with eggs, bacon, and a cinnamon french toast bread pudding for only $5! Such a good deal and it’s more than enough food which was also really yummy!

We got drinks at the Rose & Crown Pub in United Kingdom.  I don’t remember the name of the beer that I grabbed but it tasted just like apple juice (haha!). Another drink spot (non alcoholic) that is delicious is Joy of Tea in China! Try there boba tea I promise you won’t regret it!

For dinner we ate in Mexico at the La Hacienda de San Angel.  I love Mexican food so I wanted to see what Disney had to offer and it didn’t disappoint.  We order the “La Hacienda” and split it.  It was SO much food I’m sure you can split it with 4 people.  We also ordered a tequila flight because what’s Mexico without tequila!

CHARACTERS

I was also able to meet most characters/princess but a few.  I didn’t meet Pluto, Daisy, or Mulan. We did Fastpass to meet Mickey & friends which saved us a bunch of time.  Also as I mentioned if you do get to the park early try to get some of the characters first! Most people have breakfast reservations or run to certain rides so this saved us a ton of time!

The longest wait was to see Belle so if you do want to meet her make sure to find her exact location and wait in the area.  Every hour she does take about a 20 minute break.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

We had an amazing time at Epcot! Some people go to drink around the world, others go for the food, and I went for everything! WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES! If you take anything away please be that!  My feet were not feeling so hot after the park and I couldn’t wait to get home to rest.  I wouldn’t change anything about my trip though! Try everything, meet all the characters/princess, and enjoy it! Epcot makes you feel like you are able to visit many places during one vacation.  🙂

If you have any other questions just ask! I went into as much detail as I could about the things I did but of course there was so much more I just can’t fit it all into one post! Hope you guys enjoyed living through my recap!

XOXO,
