Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone is well and had a fabulous weekend. I actually spent most of my weekend indoors because I needed a break from the sun. I know super weird cause it’s summer but you know when you know. Speaking of outdoors and summer today’s post is all about Summer Pool Essentials!
I literally spent all of last week in the pool and I’m not complaining. After doing so, I realized I have so must have items for every pool visit. If you are going to be spending a lot of time at the pool or beach this summer this post is for you! Let’s jump into the post.
HIGH WAISTED SWIMSUIT
Every year I buy more and more swimsuits (it’s a toxic habit) and this year is no different. My go to have been high waisted swimsuits! Almost every retailer has come out with a version of them and guys the are all so great! They’re flattering and if you want a higher cut (which I recommend) they give your butt such a great lift. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Some of my favorite places to shop them are Aerie, Target, Amazon, and Asos.
SUNGLASSES
Is it even summer if you aren’t wearing cute sunglasses? I’m a sucker for new and trendy sunglasses but of course sometimes that can get expensive so I recommend checking out Amazon! They have every style you can think of and also offer great dupes. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.
SUNSCREEN
This is such an obvious one but just in case, don’t forget your sunscreen! The sun is wonderful but you don’t want to ruin your skin or cause any significant damage so just use it. They have so many great options now a days with all kinds of SPF. I normally use a SPF of 50 or higher and I get mine from Amazon or Target.
BEACH TOWEL
You need a towel to dry or tan so get yourself a cute beach towel! I’m not going to lie I don’t have to many of these because they so huge but the ones I do have I love. I normally get mine from Target or Walmart.
CAN COOLER
If I’m going to the pool I’m normally taking a drink and that drink is a spiked seltzer. I hate when my drinks get warm from being at the pool so a slim can cooler is my go to product for pool days. If you aren’t a drinker or don’t need a slim can cooler you can also get super cute wine tumblers that will keep your drink cool.
CUTE POOL FLOATS
Look I love me a nice circle float but nothing beats a cute donut or fruit float! I have a few different ones that are all near and dear to my heart and have been adding on more this year. I normally get mine from Target (check sales) or Amazon. I know Walmart has a good ones as well so make sure to check them out.
BLUETOOTH SPEAKER
Everyone needs some good tunes while they are at the pool so having a bluetooth speaker is a must! I recently picked up a floating bluetooth speaker from Target but any bluetooth speaker (floating or non) will do. I also have a UE boom that is amazing!
MOISTURIZER
This is more for after the pool but is still so important! Make sue to get a great deep moisturizer for after the pool for your skin. I normally use lotions from Bath & Body Works or The Body Shop. Also for your face I highly recommend using the the Jet Lag Mask by Summer Fridays. It’s super moisturizing and since it’s a mask you can keep on it really let’s just skin get all the product.
