Hi everyone! It feels so good to be back talking to everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend even though I know we had some nasty weather on Saturday in Houston.  I know spring break has started for so many of you and a lot of you with kids are enjoying your time with them.  I have so much to share with you guys and to catch up on!

Before we get into that I wanted to say thank you to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday! I had such a great 26th birthday and I don’t know how any others will top this year! I got to celebrate it in the house of the mouse and when I got home I got to see my family & friends and they helped me celebrate it even further.  I can’t wait to see what challenges & memories this year will bring! Also for those who would like to shop my outfit will like everything down at the bottom since I felt this was the perfect spring day outfit (or perfect Disney outfit for those of you who are heading to Disney soon).

So I know many of you got to know some quick things about me on my last post and this post will be what I’m hoping my 26th birthday will bring.  I feel like this year will be a turning point for me and I’m so excited and ready to bring it on.

  1. One of things that I’m most looking forward to is growing this blog of mine.  As many of you know I’m currently an intern with an amazing Houston blogger and she has so much knowledge and information. Every time we meet I get excited about all the new possibilities and changes I can bring to my blog!  I feel so blessed that I have been able to meet her and am having the opportunity to grow and want to continue that this year.
  2. I also want to make a huge change in my career.  Part of that is this blog because I would love for this to be my full-time job one day but for now I think my bubble is about to burst and I’m ready for a new one! Don’t get me wrong I love my job and everything that comes with it but sometimes you just know and this is that time.  I’m not sure when I will do it or what I will do but I definitely am ready for something.
  3. Along with my career I want to go back to school.  Yes, I’ve been saying that for two years now but it’s true.  I would love to get my Master’s or even a certificate in something to get more skills and to help push me forward in my career and in my everyday life.  I know this is going to sound totally nerdy but I love to learn!  I think with this world changing so quickly every day we should all have different kinds of skills that will impress not only our potential employers but ourselves.  You will know something that someone else doesn’t know and you can show them and teach them and that is such a beautiful thing.
  4. The last thing I want to do this year is live life a bit simpler.  Not necessarily a minimalistic life style but one where I don’t have to plan every moment of every second of my day.  This will probably be my hardest challenge because let’s face it, I’m a planner!  If there is any moment of the day that I’m not doing anything I start to panic because I feel like I always have this list that has to be accomplished.  Don’t get me wrong I will still work on my list but I also want to feel like it’s okay to not have everything figured out all the time and it’s okay to let the list linger just a little longer so that I can watch some ridiculous show like the Bachelor (guilty pleasure).  I feel with this I will feel more at ease and actually be able to relax instead of thinking and wondering why I have this extra bit of space of time.

I hope you guys enjoyed this and I hope for you to stay along for the ride to see if I can get through some of these goals! With you guys I feel like I can do anything. 🙂  Let me know if you can relate to any of my goals and if you are already working on them let me know what progress you have made!

XOXO,

Silvia M.
