NYFW Day 1 Recap

Good Morning! It’s been a hot minute since I posted and I’m so glad to be back! NYFW was such a blast and also very exhausting.  I’m still recovering from all the fun but am ready to tell you guys all about my first day! That being said this blog post will my all about my day 1 recap during NYFW!

I arrived on Thursday but didn’t do anything until Friday.  I got on the train and headed to New York on Friday morning and sadly since the train was running behind I missed my first show.  Totally okay though because I got to meet up with my roomies who were just arriving! We took a cab to our hotel, dropped off our bags, and ran out to our first show.

RECAP

The first show we went to the All Comes from Nothing show.  It was an indie show by Nolcha Shows and the designer was Eva Yiwel Xu. I loved the show! There were so many great minimalistic pieces and the colors were perfect for the spring. My favorite piece were the pants that had buttons coming down the side. They were so cute! This show was a great start to my NYFW. Thank you for AMP3 PR for the invite!

After this show, I ran back to the hotel to wait for my other roommate to get in from the airport.  Once she got there we ran out and went to the Vaishali S show.  Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of my favorite piece from this show.  My favorite was a white dress with yellow flowers draping from one shoulder down the middle! Seriously GORGEOUS!

We finally got a break from shows and headed to Baublebar for a meeting. We got to see the new fall collection and omg guys! First off, the showroom and the offices are beyond beautiful and then the collection! If you followed along on my Instagram Stories you got to see a sneak peak of the new pieces. We had such a blast and were so happy to kick our feet up, check out jewelry and sip on rosè. I mean isn’t that what life should be about? 🙂

We had one final show to go to and it was the Cindy Monteiro show. This show also had some beautiful dresses! My absolute favorite was a white and black dress.  The cut was so unique and I love the choker detail and the sleeves.  It was a great finish to our first day of fashion shows.

The last thing we got to do together was something so fun and so New York and that was a Broadway show.  We decided to go see Kinky Boots which was perfect for NYFW.  It was such a fun way to end our first day and we all had the best time! After the show was the first time any of us ate and we all decided to eat cheesecake because what better way could you end the day?

OUTFIT

My first day there I wanted to be a bit comfortable because I wanted to see how the week was going to be.  Let me tell you even though I was wearing cute, short, comfortable heels my feet were in PAIN. Lesson learned for next year! I wore these cute black pants that I shared with you in my last post.

The flared-out pants are so in right now and a lot of people were wearing them.  These were super inexpensive and so stinking cute! I wore a eyelet top and my Chanel Mademoiselle sling backs.  Also I did a collaboration with Trendlee and was sent this amazing Chanel bag.  Trendlee is a site where you can buy luxury pre-owned bags.  They have some amazing bags and this bag was literally everything I could have dreamed of. I’ll link this bag down below as well as everything I wore.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I will be doing the rest of the days next week! Happy Friday friends!

XOXO,

Silvia M.

NYC is one of my favorites — so glad you were able to see Kinky Boots! Saw it last year with Todrick Hall.
