Is it Cinco de Mayo yet?! I could really go for a margarita is anyone else with me? Well it is hump day right!? 🙂 Okay guys I have a fair warning before getting into this post.  It will be a little deep and you will see another side of me that maybe hasn’t been shown in any post or social.  I’m a little scared but I feel like it’s something I need to talk about.  It’s about 3 blogging lessons I’ve learned since starting my blog.

You’re probably wondering what I mean by that.  More or less I’ve been doing this for nine months and I’ve come to find something’s about myself in this blogging world.  I’ve also learned about how others outside perceive things inside this world and kind of just wanted to talk about it.  I’m going to list a couple because I’m sure there are a ton more that I’ve yet find out about.

Lesson 1: You are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea

pajama shorts, spring outfit, summer outfit, outfit inspiration pink and blue shorts, white top, pink purse, There are so many different bloggers! You have fashion, lifestyle, food, mommy, spiritual, beauty, etc.  Not only that every single one in those categories all have a different way of doing things and a different style.  If you ever get a negative comment just look past it.  I know it’s hard (trust me).  You start to doubt yourself and your craft but don’t.  Don’t give in because for that one negative you will get 15 positives.   Do you because there are people that love it!

Lesson 2: Be Confident!

how to style pajama shorts, how to style pink and blue clothing, macy's shorts, forever 21 top, spring outfit, summer outfit, outfit inspiration, blogger outfits, forever 21, macys, henri bendelThis is so much easier said than done I know.  There are days where I find myself not being the most confident.  I mean I’m a girl so we all know that every month things come to us girls that we don’t like.  When I go take pictures I don’t feel pretty, sexy, or anywhere near like I can really sell this dress.  On top of that I really don’t want to go take pictures.  That’s another thing pictures.

Bloggers are seen as being vain and the industry is seen as materialistic and shallow.  It’s much more than that and believe me the confidence level to even go out and take pictures is tough.  When I first started blogging I was always so scared to take pictures.  Let alone do a photoshoot with 5 outfits.  Even after blogging for 9 months certain things still get me very nervous.

Lesson 3: Be True to Yourself

summer 2017 outfits, spring 2017 outfits, pink & blue shorts, outfits for the summer, outfits for spring 3 blogging lessons learned, what bloggers learn, blogger photography, fashion outfits, spring outfits, what to wear spring 2017, spring 2017 outfitsA little back story about me.  I was very nervous to start blogging.  I knew I was going into this huge crazy blogging world and had no idea what to expect.  I knew I wanted to talk about fashion but let me tell you… I was scared.  The reason I was scared is because I didn’t have the confidence.  I wasn’t your typical blogger or at least the larger bloggers.  I wasn’t tall and skinny.  I am 5’1 and wear a size 8 in jeans.  I didn’t fit that “fashion blogger picture.”  Not going to lie, I almost didn’t start this blog because of being scared.

But you know what forget what the norm is.  Break that norm and be yourself! Trust me I totally am! If you are comfortable in your own body and are feeling fabulous, then be fabulous girl! Don’t try to fit in that blogger picture.  I love seeing people be themselves and just being authentic.  I can relate to authenticity more than a mold.statement earrings, spring earrings, charming charlie's, summer earrings, pink & blue jewelry

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! This is just coming from the bottom of my heart and I’m not here to offend anyone.  We all go into different journeys and learn different things and I would love to hear what you have learned on your experience.

Have a great Wednesday!

XOXO,
